Symptoms:

When running Process Navigator, using Visio, a message such as the following appears:

Causes:

Macro security is set too high.

By default, the macro security in Visio 2003 is set to 'High'; in Visio 2007 and 2010, it's set to 'Disable all macros with notification'. Process Navigator requires macro security to be set to 'Medium' or 'Low' ('Low' if on a Triaster Server) in Visio 2003, or 'Enable all...' in Visio 2007 and 2010.

Solution:
Visio 2007

Go to Tools > Trust Center and select the Macro Settings tab. Select 'Enable all macros...'.

Visio 2010 and Visio 2013
  1. Go to File > Options.
  2. Select 'Trust Center'.
  3. Click 'Trust Center Settings'.
  4. In 'Macro Settings', select 'Enable all macros'.
  5. Select 'Trust access to the VBA project object model'.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.

Applies to:

  • Process Navigator all versions
  • Visio 2007
  • Visio 2010
  • Visio 2013
