This article is suitable for a Process Mapper

Ref (kb#46)

Last edited April 28th, 2016

Description

By default, Visio saves files in VSD format (Visio Drawing). Process Navigator 3 and above require all files to be saved in VDX format (Visio XML Drawing). However, in Visio 2013 all files will need to be saved in a VSDM format (Visio Macro-Enabled Document).

If you save a file as a .vsd, the following message will appear:

NOTE: Autosave will also prompt this message if the default save settings have not been changed. It is recommended that autosave is not used. You can turn autosave off in Tools > Options, select the Save tab.
