Error (1430) Occurred During the Action Save

This article is suitable for a Process Mapper

Ref: 20041111
Last Edited: September 28th, 2011

Symptoms:

If a file is loaded in Process Navigator and subsequently Visio is opened and the same file is loaded, when attempting to save the modified file in Visio, the following error appears.

Cause:

When a file is loaded in Visio and it is already loaded in Process Navigator, Process Navigator will interrupt the process and try to load the file again. This is a Visio behaviour that triggers Process Navigator to cause the error. The error will occur using either Visio 2003 or Visio 2007.

Solution:

Corrective Action Once Error Encountered

If you receive the error, go into Process Navigator and unload the file. In Visio, save the file again and close the Visio application. Go back into Process Navigator and use F5 to refresh the list and reload the file.

Avoiding Encountering Error in Future

From within the Map Control Console in Process Navigator, right-click the file that you wish to edit and select Edit from the menu option. The file will load in Visio thereby unloading the file within Process Navigator. You can then edit and save the file and Process Navigator will not interrupt the processes. You will need to manually re-load the map in Process Navigator Map Control Console by checking the box to the left of the file when you exit Visio.

Applies to:
  • Process Navigator all versions
  • Visio all versions
