Symptom:

When viewing process maps in HTML, the hyperlinks seem to be displaced, either to the right or left of the shape.

Possible Cause:

The problem with displaced hyperlinks may be due to the dpi settings on your PC.

Solution:

Go to the Control Panel and select Display, you will see a dialog to which you will need to select the Settings tab. From here, select the Advanced button. You will see the dialog below:

The DPI should be set to 96. We have found that on Dell laptops, the DPI is set to 120DPI by default.

Alternatively, it may be that the users are using a browser that does not support VML. If this is the case it may be displaying a .gif or .jpg. In earlier versions of Visio (Visio 5.0), we have found that the hyperlink can be slightly off when displaying .gif or .jpg. In order to view VML, the users will need to use Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.

Applies to:
  • Process Navigator All versions
  • Windows
  • Internet Explorer 5.01 and above
