HTML maps in the library do not have the correct appearance.
  • The navigation bar may be missing or the incorrect one.
  • Frames may not be sized or positioned correctly.
The frameset is missing or configured incorrectly.
Maps in HTML format are commonly published within a frameset using Visio's 'Host in Web page' functionality. This is usually configured dynamically as part of a publication, but can be configured through Visio. However, it should be noted that a manual configuration may be over-ridden by an automated publication's dynamic one.

This configuration assumes Visio 2003, but would be similar in other versions.
  1. Run Visio.
  2. Create a new drawing by clicking on the 'New' icon in Visio's toolbar.
  3. From Visio's menu, File > Save as Web Page...
  4. In the 'Save As' dialog, click 'Publish...'.
  5. In the 'Save as Web Page' dialog, click on the 'Advanced' tab.
  6. To configure 'Host in Web Page', click on the '...' button, browse to, and select the frameset file.
  7. To configure 'Style sheet', click on the '...' button, browse to, and select the style sheet file.
  8. Click OK to close the 'Save as Web Page' dialog, and complete the 'Save as Web Page' action.
This will create a blank HTML export that can be deleted. The configuration should persist, as long as an automated publication doesn't over-ride it.
The identities of the frameset and style sheet files could be something like:
C:\Program Files\Triaster\PublicationServer\Config Files\ProcessLibrary\Live\frameset.html
C:\Program Files\Triaster\PublicationServer\Config Files\ProcessLibrary\Live\publish.css
Applies to:
  • Browser Toolkit
  • Internet Explorer
  • Visio 2003
  • Visio 2007
  • Publication Server
