Method 1 - Triaster Server 11 and later

To change your admin password on your Process Library Administration Tool:
  1. On the web server, open \TriasterServer2011\Services\AdminConfig.exe.

  2. Select from the 'Libraries' drop-down list.
  3. Set the password, and click Apply.
  4. Repeat for other libraries.

Method 2 - Browser Toolkit 9.1 to 10.1

To change your admin password on your Process Library Administration Tool:
  1. On the web server, run AdminConfig.exe, found in the 'Triaster' directory, the default location of which is 'C:\Triaster'.

  2. Select from the 'Libraries' drop-down list.

  3. Set the password, and click Apply.

  4. Repeat for other Libraries.
  5.

Method 3 - Browser Toolkit 1.0

You can change the user name and password for the Process Library Administration Tool quite easily.
  1. First, you will need to access the config.xml file held on your web server within each of the stage folders - Live, Prelive, Sandpit e.g. Live site (C:\Triaster\Process Library\Live\Tools\Admin\config.xml).

  2. Open the config.xml file within Notepad and scroll to the bottom of the file. There you will see the user name and password.

  3. Edit the user name. Please note: The user name has to be all capital letters.

  4. The password is encrypted. Therefore, you will need to search for the executable file Triaster gave you during the initial install called GenerateSHAHash.exe.  It should be found within the PublicationWrapper directory on the Publication Server. This will convert your password into an encrypted password.

  5. Run the GenerateSHAHash.exe file. (Note: if you cannot find this file, please look on our Software Download page where there is a zipped copy).

  6. Enter your password and click Generate.

  7. Copy and paste the encrypted password (from the 'SHA Result' field) into the config.xml file.

  8. Save the config.xml file.

Method 4 - Updating all sites from a template config.xml

This method is useful when updating all of your config.xml files to use the same logon users across sites when your config.xml have one or more of the below requirements:
  • You have more than one logon credential to the Admin tool.
  • You are using a domain lookup to reference the password.
To use this method please do the following:
  1. Download the file "Triaster Admin Users update.zip" from the Software Download page and extract the file "Triaster Admin Users update.vbs" to the root of your ProcessLibraries folder. (If you only have a ProcessLibrary folder then assume this root is the folder above the ProcessLibrary directory)
  2. Make the required changes to one config.xml file as prescribed by your preferred method.
  3. Make a copy of this config.xml in the ProcessLibraries root folder.
  4. Double click on "Triaster Admin Users update.vbs" and follow on screen instructions.
This should create backup copies of your previous files.  Please be aware that if the script is run more than once in the same second then you will lose your original backup file.
