The Triaster Server Configuration Utility

Most configurations regarding Triaster Server can be made using the Triaster Server Configuration Utility.
  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to (typically):
    'C:\Triaster\TriasterServer2011\Services'
  2. Run 'PubServerConfig.exe'.
     

All Servers

 Setting  Description
 Queue Folder  The location of your publication queue.
 Web Server Folder  The folder location hosting your process libraries.
 Node Name  The name that you wish to use for Node/Process Map shapes.


Publication Server

 Setting  Description
 Server Name  The name to be associated with the server when configured within a multiple Publication Server environment. Typically, this would be the computer name.


Token Server

 Setting  Description
 Server List  The list of the server names to be part of the Publication Server cluster. Those names would typically be computer names. If this is a single-server set-up, just include the name of that server.
 Add Server  Use this button to add the server name in the New Server Name field.
 Delete Server  Use this button to delete the server name that has been selected in the Server List field.
 New Server Name  Use this box to name a server you wish to add to the Server list.


Publication Settings Application Level (Web Server)

 Setting  Description
 SMTP Server  The server name, fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or IP address of the SMTP server through which publication notification, approval and what's changed e-mails are sent.  It should be a server that will accept anonymous e-mails relayed from the Triaster Server.
 Sender Email  The e-mail address that will be seen as the sender of the e-mails sent from the Triaster Server.
 Support Email  The e-mail address to which notification of publication errors is sent, if any.
 Clone Email  The e-mail address to which notification of cloning actions is sent.
 Send Email  Whether the Triaster Server sends e-mails.


Publication Settings Site Level 1 (Web Server)

 Setting  Description
 Site Settings For Update  Select the site to configure.
 Recipient Email  Enter the e-mail address that should receive notifications of completion of a publication.
 Process Maps Path  The file store root (Multi-Map Root) of the process maps to be published into this site.
 Menu Page Maps Path  The file store root (Multi-Map Root) of the menu pages to be published into this site.
 Web Server Root Path  The root folder of the process library content on the file system.
 Website URL  The root URL of the process library content on the website.
 PN Stencil Path  The stencil the Publication Server should use when performing actions that add shapes to maps, e.g. importing process maps from Excel. This is a Process Navigator configuration, for which there should already be a default setting. This setting on the server need only be made if Process Navigator's existing configuration should be changed.
 PN Template Path  The Template the Publication Server should use when performing actions that create maps, e.g. generating process maps from Excel. This is a Process Navigator configuration, for which there should already be a default setting. This setting on the server need only be made if Process Navigator's existing configuration should be changed.
 Publish CSS  The Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) file that defines the formatting of the published Visio content.


Publication Settings Site Level 2 (Web Server)

 Setting  Description
 Site Settings For Update  Select the site to configure.
 Properties XML Path  The path of the properties XML file to be used on the Triaster Server. This is a Process Navigator configuration, for which there should already be a default setting. This setting on the server need only be made if Process Navigator's existing configuration should be changed.
 Archive Path  The location to which Visio files are backed up should the 'Archive Maps' tick box be ticked.
 Pre Publish  A command file to run at the beginning of a publication.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Post Publish  A command file to run at the end of a publication.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Help Menu URL  The location that should be shown when the library 'Help' toolbar tab is clicked.
 Google Analytics  The code used by Google Analytics to identify the site Analytics report.  This will be of the format "XX-#######-##" where X is a letter and # is a number between 0 and 9.
 Publish Map CMD File  The command script to be used for this site's map pages.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Version 10 Queue Folder  If this is set to the queue folder of the Triaster Server 10.1 version (assuming a side-by-side install), the publication will be blocked if there is a .pntask within that folder. If the setting is blank (the default) the publication will not be blocked. This is to allow v11 and later to run safely alongside v10.1.
 Menu Page Template  This is the template file for the Triaster Server toolbar.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Publication Task File  This is the template for a site publication tasks file, which defines the tasks performed in an automated publication.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Publish Menu CMD File  The command script to be used for this site's Visio-based menu pages.  This should only be changed by Triaster.
 Check Approval Site  If the 'Disable Publication' tickbox is ticked then the publication will only progress if the content in the site named in the 'Check Approval Site' field is all approved.

Alerts

 Setting  Description
 Send Approval Alert  If this is ticked, approvals outstanding for more than a certain period will trigger an e-mail alert to the relevant approver(s). By default, this only applies to the Prelive site.
 Send Review Alert  If this is ticked, process maps which have a review due date in the past will trigger an alert to the approver.
 Disable Publication  If the 'Disable Publication' tickbox is ticked then the publication will only progress if the content in the site named in the 'Check Approval Site' field is all approved.

Search Defaults

 Setting  Description
 Search Activities  If this box is ticked then the Search tool will have the Activities tickbox ticked when entering via the menu or using the Quick Search.
 Search Deliverables  If this box is ticked then the Search tool will have the Deliverable tickbox ticked when entering via the menu or using the Quick Search.
 Search Nodes  If this box is ticked then the Search tool will have the Nodes tickbox ticked when entering via the menu or using the Quick Search. (This will change to any alternate Node name specified in the All Servers > Node Name field. However, this tickbox will always be named 'Node'.)
 Search Properties  If this box is ticked then the Search tool will have the Properties tickbox ticked when entering via the menu or using the Quick Search.
 Search Hyperlinks  If this box is ticked then the Search tool will have the Hyperlinks tickbox ticked when entering via the menu or using the Quick Search.

System Settings

 Setting  Description
 Responsibility Tab  If this box is ticked then the Activities' Responsibility box is visible on published process map content.
 Grid View Results  If this box is ticked then the new dynamic grid tables are used.  If it is not ticked, the 10.1 grid tables are used.
 Reset Change Properties  If this box is ticked then the 3 change properties (Change Description, Change User and Change Date) are blanked on publication.
 Combined Search  Whether Combined Search, a new feature of Triaster Server 12, which searches on both maps and documents in the same search, is used. If not, the old-style search will be used, where maps and documents are searched separately.

Versioning

 Setting  Description
 Increment Version on Publish  If this box is checked then automatically increment the version number by one upon every publication.
 Increment Revision on Publish  If this box is checked then automatically increment the revision number by one upon every publication.
 Increment Version on Approval  If this box is checked then automatically increment the version number by one upon publication after the approval of a process map.
 Increment Revision on Approval  If this box is checked then automatically increment the revision number by one upon publication after the approval of a process map.

Publication Actions

 Setting  Description
 Send Whats Changed Alert  A list of changed maps is sent to the e-mail address associated with the map's business function. This happens upon publication (by default, this only applies to the Live site).
 Archive Maps  If this box is ticked then all maps within the multi-map root will be copied into a date-stamped folder (specified by Archive Path).
 Archive HTML  If this box is ticked then the published html of any changed maps will be copied into a date-stamped folder. This resides next to the html folder within a particular site.
 Write Change History  Writes to the Change History report each time a publish is done (by default, this only applies to the Live site).
