Installing the Process Library on a Triaster Server

Introduction

This document aims to provide an IT engineer with the knowledge required to install and test the Triaster Process Library.  It is assumed that your server meets the minimum system requirements for the Triaster Server as specified here.

Installation

  1. Obtain the files 'ProcessLibrary.msi' and 'setup.exe' from Triaster.
      
  2. Install with administrative rights, preferably as the Triaster services user, running 'setup.exe'.
     
    Note: the Triaster services account is that which should have been created to run the Triaster software, including services which run automated publications.
      
  3. Click 'Next >'.
      
  4. Enter the preferred installation directory (please note: installing to the default locations will require less configuration post installation and is preferable from a technical support perspective.  Also, the Triaster Browser Toolkit and the Triaster Process Library should be installed to the same directory on the same computer).
      
  5. Click 'Next >'.
      
  6. Click 'Next >'.
      
  7. Wait for the IIS initialise window to pop up (you may not see this as it happens very quickly).
      
  8. Click 'Close'.
      
  9. Click 'Close'.

Install Validation

IIS validation

  1. Press Start > Administrative Tools > Computer Management.
      
  2. Expand 'Services and Applications' > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager > Web Sites > Default Web Site.
      
'ProcessLibraries' should be present in the 'Default Web Site' directory. If this is not true, the installation of the Process Library has failed. Please uninstall Process Library and then reinstall.  Should the behaviour be repeated, please contact support@triaster.co.uk.
 

File validation

  1. Is there a 'ProcessLibraries' folder in your chosen installation directory?
      
  2. Is there a 'Map Store' folder in your chosen installation directory?

If the answer to either is no, then the installation of the Process Library has failed. Please uninstall Process Library and then reinstall.  Should the behaviour be repeated, please contact support@triaster.co.uk.
 

Web validation

  1. On the web server, execute this URL http://localhost/processlibraries/processlibrary/ in the web browser.

You should see the Triaster showcase homepage. If this is not true, the installation of the Process Library has failed. Please uninstall Process Library and then reinstall.  Should the behaviour be repeated, please contact support@triaster.co.uk.
